It took us a long time to get from the dragon boat practice location to the buffet and several passengers in the van were getting hungry. Some wanted to satisfy and ease the hunger with power bars. Personally I just needed to use the restroom. In the end, the wait was worth it, because most of the food was good. The price of the buffet was also reasonable ($14.65 for adults on weekend).

I wrote: "Chicken is good. Fish is too soft. I love the fried squid. Ribs are great. Chicken gizzard was too salty for me. I didn't really taste the shrimp in the braised jalapeno with shrimp, but I liked it. The steam bun was standard tasting." 6:48 PM

I wrote: "Got more baby beef rib in black pepper sauce, because I really liked it. The sushi is good. Steam roll... what's this filling? Har gow is called dumpling shrimp. Shark fin soup is good. Though it has a different consistency than the Vietnamese variety I'm used to. The duck was too dry." 7:13 PM

I wrote: "Apparently there are different kinds of steam rolls. I was more hopeful about the BBQ steam roll (over whatever I got), but unfortunately it didn't satisfy me. Anyways, time for desserts. The soft-serve ice cream is soft (as opposed to icy). Always a good sign. Good custard." 7:35 PM

Freshii

I think this is the first thing I ever ordered from Freshii and I decided to get a wrap/burrito. Overall, Freshii has a good selection of ingredients, but it comes with a cost that I would consider overpriced.

20120917:
Freshii has drastically changed its menu and "customize your order" option has been ditched. Now a customer is limited to adding toppings to existing combinations, which is similar to adding a power boost to a Jamba Juice drink.

I wrote: "I was able to eat the tofu which I had added to the Ivy Salad. There was a slight undesirable feeling on my tongue, but endurable."

Spring Fair 2012

Spring Fair! Such a big deal that Dragon Boat practice was awesomely rescheduled for it! This will be the fourth JHU Spring Fair I've attended. I believe it rained on Sunday, on which I didn't care to check if anything was open. However, on Friday I definitely had some food and beer and on Saturday I was outside slacklining.

Pictured:
Chicken on (a) stick from I (Heart) Thai. So good. If I was hungry and had money to spend I'd have gotten more.
Root Beer from Wild Bill's. Like I wrote in my post last year, I need to take a picture of all the mugs I have from Wild Bill's.

Not pictured:
Funnel cake. I don't remember if it was just plain or strawberry funnel cake, but I do know I didn't have to drop a dime. My friend had previously needed people to come and split a funnel cake with him, and I had already said I'd be interested, but when he sent me a text, I was occupied and couldn't reply. As a result, he already bought one and started eating with his significant other. When I met up with them, they had just about met their funnel cake threshold. Perfect. And that's the story of free funnel cake.

20120413:
I recall (20120528) ordering only a single sushi roll (pictured in this post), because I remember having already eaten. Maybe I have a receipt floating around listing what I had ordered. In any case, I've been here once before, but it wasn't for the sushi; it was for the karaoke! In fact, the karaoke is why my friend and I came here today. Being able to get food was just killing two birds with one stone.
