The tortilla chips were thin, crisp, and delicious. Ada thought the chips were delicious, too.

Carnitas

To drink I ordered a Cazadores Anejo Tequila.

The tortilla soup, as described by the waiter when we asked, was soupy. However, it was delicious; it had a spice. On a different not, it use neither mozzarella cheese nor yellow cheese and instead used a crumbly type of cheese.

The carnitas was delicious. I had a fatty piece.

The enchiladas were okay. Ada thought the chicken in her enchilada was good, but said the sauce was a little sour. She elaborated and said she was more used to enchiladas that float in the sauce, like gravy, and mildly salty (instead of sour). 9:58PM PT

Bonchon

2017:
Ada went to Bonchon and got the Signature Fried Chicken wings, 10 pieces, half & half: 5 soy garlic and 5 spicy wings.

Soy Garlic Wings and Spicy Wings

Menu Description:
Signature Fried Chicken (Soy Garlic / Spicy / Half & Half) + Served with a side of pickled radish

The soy garlic wing has a good flavor, but the exterior was too crisp.

The pickled radish was disgusting.

The spicy wing was so spicy. It was so flaming hot. My tongue felt like it was on fire. 7:00PM PT

20170312:
The lechon was good.

The red meat at the top right (tocino) was delicious.

Lechon

Maybe the lechon had a strange taste.

The fried fish (at right) tasted good.

The scrambled egg was good.

The fried chicken (center) was okay. It was probably the breast.

There was a meat (top) that was sweet and borderline dry.

I almost ate the kare kare, but was informed it has peanuts. Close call.*

The lumpia tasted good.

I had an allergic reaction to something I ate; indicated by an itchiness in the area above my left breast.

*It's possible I ate something that touched the sauce. As of 20180103, I don't remember.

Amakai Japanese Cuisine

20170311:
Not yet full from Pizza My Heart, Ada and I walked next door to Amakai Japanese Cuisine.

Assorted Sashimi

We got assorted sashimi and calamari.

Of the assorted sashimi, the salmon was fresh, the yellowtail was delicious, and the tuna was okay.

The calamari had a strong smell.

Calamari

On my second pass through the sashimi, I enjoyed the tuna less than the salmon, and the salmon less than the hamachi (yellowtail). 8:16PM PT

Eating the body rings with vinegar tasted good. Meanwhile, the legs were bitter and tasted like certain types of Vietnamese/Asian dried squid.

Pizza My Heart

Ada and I came and ordered a slice of the Combo, Figgy Piggy, and Pesto.

Combo

The slice of Combo was amazing .

Figgy Piggy

Figgy Piggy Bacon, Black Figs, Fresh Sage & Feta Slice of the Day (Saturday) 5.25

The slice of Figgy Piggy was sweet. It occasionally had a candied texture. It's a good pizza if you like sweet dishes.

Big Sur

If I recall, the slice of Pesto got dropped and they gave us a free slice of our choice while we waited for a new slice of Pesto (the one they dropped was the last). As such, we asked for a slice of Big Sur.

The slice of Big Sur was okay.

Pesto

The slice of Pesto was too cheesy for me. Ada said it wasn't as she remembered, and that the one she remembered having had a red sauce.

Overall, I had some good slices of pizza and they handled the dropped slice of pizza in a friendly manner. I look forward to eating at Pizza My Heart in the future.

Buddy's BBQ

2017:
After looking through the menu, I decided to get the "Zeke" Sandwich. I was not, however, sure what to expect.

When the sandwich was finally put together, I was surprised by it's size. It was a lot of meat for the price. I was also puzzled as to how I was suppose to eat the sandwich, considering the ribs were bone-in.

As of 20171222, I vaguely remember trying to take a bite down the side, but spent the remainder of the time using a fork and knife.

In any case, it was delicious and filling.

Unfortunately, I could not finish the entire sandwich and had plenty for leftovers.

Online Menu Description:
"Zeke" Sandwich All 5 meats* plus pickles, onions, jalapeños, and cheese stacked high on a toasted bun. 8.50

Remark: While the sandwich was delicious, there was only one person working in the store and he worked at a slow pace. He said he usually has someone to help.
