My friends and I were at the San Diego Zoo and they told me about a Chinese restaurant they ate at and enjoyed. They were planning to go again and invited me along. I got the address from one of them and I also asked for the name. But all she had were the three Chinese characters and didn't have any American name to give me. In that situation, I double-checked the address and realized I had written down the wrong address. I was satisfied with what I was given and upon arriving, there were many Chinese restaurants, but I parked in front of the one with three Chinese characters, also named Spicy City.

Some vegetable dish. |
When I called my friend, she had, in the time after leaving the San Diego Zoo, determined the name of the restaurant to be Spicy City. Thus, I successfully arrived at the correct location. In hindsight, if I was given the link with the image of the characters, as suggested by a friend of the friend, I would have been able to confirm if I had arrived at the right location without calling my friend.

Some meat dish with garlic. |
The first shared dish was a frog dish. It was spicy and good.
The second shared dish was a vegetable dish. It was also good.
The third shared dish was the dish I chose and unfortunately it tasted a little burnt. The amount of garlic used also made it strong. I remember when the dish was first brought to the table and the smell just hit my nose from about two feet away. Thank goodness the smell doesn't linger.

Rice noodle soup. |
I'm also glad I got the rice noodle soup. It was like getting a big bowl of rice. By the end of the day, we were a table of four and each person paid about $15 before tip. 6:55PM PT
