Taco Bell

While perhaps once upon a time I would get several soft tacos from Taco Bell, I have since converted to Del Taco. Prior to 20140903, I probably haven't eaten at a Taco Bell in over twelve years.

Today my parents, aunts, uncle, and I traveled from SoCal to NorCal and along the way we stopped by a Taco Bell.

While I don't remember what I ordered, my uncle got a side of nachos to share. The nacho cheese brings back memories.

"Today I decided to eat at Taco Bell, mainly for nostalgic reasons. Otherwise, the guacamole isn't even comparable to the guacamole at Chipotle, the meat was a bit chewy, and the ingredients are spread unevenly. For the price, getting a Chipotle burrito is much better. I would also prefer eating at Del Taco to Taco Bell." 4:01PM PT

My uncle was on his way home from work and picked up some Taco Bell for me on the way.

After a long workout, I was hoping to stop by In-N-Out, but the drive-through was longer than usual, and there was a long line of people inside. As such, I decided to go to Taco Bell.

Unfortunately, this XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito with shredded chicken doesn't taste like it has chicken in it. Furthermore, the sour cream is thin.

Upon eating half of the burrito, I finally see and taste some chicken chunks.

After eating the Stuft Burrito, I had a shredded chicken burrito and it was definitely not as good as the Stuft Burrito.

Finally eating a chicken soft taco, due to the proportion of content to tortilla, the chicken soft taco is better tasting than the shredded chicken burrito.

However, none of the food is as delicious as my memories of the Taco Bell food I had when I was a kid. 11:12PM PT

Today my friends and I stopped by Taco Bell before heading up to the mountains for skiing, and new here is the Quesalupa. My friend C.H. was excited to try it and it got me wanting to try one also. While it seemed a lot of the cheese melted towards the bottom of the shell, it wasn't half bad.

While marketed as a Chalupa with cheese in the shell, I would say it tastes like eating a quesadilla combined with a soft taco.

Besides the chicken Quesalupa, I also ate two Soft Taco Supremes (i.e., beef), and two steak Soft Tacos. While I also ordered a Grilled Stuft Burrito for the road, I was ultimately afraid it went bad and never ate it (I'd rather have a fantastic day of skiing than ruin it with a silly burrito).

While the two Soft Taco Supremes seemed simple, the two steak Soft Tacos tasted relatively great. In particular, I liked the taste of the fake and mysterious avocado-based sauce as well as the texture of the steak.

The XXL Chicken Grilled Stuft Burrito was filling and tasty. The regular soft taco with shredded chicken was not tasty. 2:28 PM PT
