Dr. Chenghao Chu, Mike L., and I came here for our final exam grading lunch. Pictures indicate that Dr. Chu got a salad while Mike and I each got personal pizzas. In fact, if their menus haven't changed, I probably got the Italian Sausage pizza.

Today I came here with the modern dance company. While the picture of the dish came out blurry, it looks as if I ordered Italian sausage Penne.

To drink I had a Caramel Espresso Martini.
I wrote: "Smells like coffee. Tastes good." 7:09PM ET
As a side remark, my attempt at typing notes into my phone erupted into a conversation about phone usage in a social setting. In my defense, I don't text people during dinner, I just make notes in the form of text messages. It would be the equivalent of taking notes with pen/pencil and paper, only conveniently time-stamped and they don't get lost.*
*They do hover get erased if I keep too many. From 20140716 and forward, I started sending the notes to my email, whose storage capacity far exceeds my cell-phone's text message capacity.

In any case, it looks like I ordered the Spicy Shrimp.

To drink I had a Public Works Ale Red Cent Amber.
20140328:
I bumped into Mark on his way home from work and we decided to get some dinner and catch up.
To eat I ordered the Roasted Half Chicken and to drink I had a Flying Dog Woody Creek.

ROASTED HALF CHICKEN - sweet pototo mash, sauteed greens 20
I wrote: "The potatoes have a nice (small) amount of butter. The chicken is a bit dry. The spinach has a nice collection of spices." 7:54PM ET
I recall Mark taking interest in his fried polenta. We initially didn't know what it was and only speculated that it was just fancy cornbread.
Recommendation:
Of the four times I've been to Donna's, I have never been impressed. In two of the visits I had some beer, but it just came from a bottle. At the end of the day, the only nice thing I can say about Donna's is it portrays itself as a fancy place to eat. With that being said, Gertrude's at the BMA exceeds Donna's in every aspect.
