Ada decided to get the soup of the day, a tomato coconut cream curry. It was delicious. I couldn't pick up on the coconut (milk?) taste. It had a creamy texture. Overall, it had a delightfully light herbal taste that's common in tomato soups. 9:08PM MDT

Espresso Beef Tenderloin

For my main course I ordered the espresso beef tenderloin cooked medium rare. As a bonus, the dish was served with cauliflower, which was better fitting for a low-carb diet than mashed potatoes.

Menu Description:
Espresso Beef Tenderloin Center Cut Tenderloin* wrapped in Smoked Prosciutto, dusted with Espresso and seared. Served atop a bed of Cauliflower Mashers with Port Wine Demi Glace and Gorgonzola Picante 28.50

Special

Ada got the special, which was a fish dish, and we were also informed it was the last one available for the day. I later heard our waitress inform another table that the last special had been taken.

While I forgot to take notes (on the entree), I recall enjoying the tenderloin. In particular, I praised the meat for being soft and juicy.

For a moment when I received the dish, I had forgotten the side was cauliflower and was wondering why I would order a dish with mashed potatoes. It was then, however, that Ada noted the cauliflower and everything made sense again. In any case, if you've never tried it before, mashed cauliflower is an absolutely fabulous substitute for mashed potatoes.

Overall, I enjoyed both the food and service here at Tin Angel Cafe and would highly recommend it to others who are in the Utah area. Note that we were lucky and didn't need reservations, but their website recommends it, especially for days which are busy.
