I noticed there was a special for the oysters which interested me, but when the waitress was taking orders, I had forgotten about them. Luckily, Steph had decided to order one and before the waitress walked away, I asked for one too! However, the waitress soon came back and said they might only have one left. Oh no! Fortunately, she came back moments later to inform us that they still had enough (three if I recall). The oyster was delicious.
The pork adobo was great. The meat was soft and I liked the texture.
Online Menu Description:
Famous Pork Adobo with Rice One of our best sellers! Our adobo is thrice- prepared 7 Mile house style. This classic Filipino dish is made with tender pork marinated in soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, herbs & spices topped with sautéed garlic and served with steamed Jasmine rice $11.00
Steph ordered the sisig and I brought up how I had gone to the Philippines and the sisig was so fatty that I had begun to avoid the dish after coming back to the States. Then, through conversation, it became clear that the reason I found the dish so fatty was because I was eating it without rice (because I was on keto at the time). Long story short, I tried some sisig today with rice and it was delicious.
Online Menu Description:
Sizzling Sisig Are you adventurous enough? Grilled diced meat (made with pork cheeks, meat, and a small amount of liver to taste) with onions, jalapeños, herbs and spices served on a sizzling plate topped with raw egg*, chopped onions & chili flakes. Mix the egg into the dish while the plate is hot. We highly recommend adding rice to make a flavorful meal! $10.50
The fries were average.
Overall, as expected, the food was good; although this is the first time I ate at the restaurant, Ada and I have ordered food from here on multiple occasions. 4:39 PM PT
