20130106:
It's a small place where you order at the window and there's a bunch of seating outdoors. Its inconvenient on a rainy day like today. Thank goodness it was just lightly raining, so we were able to get the seats and tables wiped dry. There were plenty of umbrellas, though they seemed to dominantly serve as sun umbrellas.

Note: They do accept credit cards.

If you decide to eat at the location, I'd recommend a party of four or less.

Smoked Salmon

Menu Description:
Smoked Salmon & Dill Cream Cheese 8.50
Michel Cordon Bleu Smoked Salmon with Herb Cream Cheese, Cucumbers & Chives

Among the savory waffles I tried, I like the smoked salmon best. The fried chicken was good and I don't think I could have it without the honey. Note that honey costs extra, but comes in a nice little glass bottle. The fried chicken waffle reminds me of the Krispy Kreme chicken sandwiches available at the Orange County Fair (See OC Fair 2011 and/or OC Fair 2012). There was some weird sauce in my sister's turkey club that I didn't like. After coming home and looking at the ingredients, it might have been the pesto that triggered the unpleasant taste. This place eventually deserves a second visit. When I do, I'd like to have the burger waffle and/or the pastrami waffle.

Turkey Club

Menu Description:
Turkey Club 8.95
Boar’s Head Roasted Turkey, Gruyere, Avocado, Applewood Smoked Bacon,
Sliced Tomatoes, Crisp Lettuce & Pesto Aoili

As it was raining, the lines were short or empty and we decided it would be a good idea to get the dessert waffles after we finished our savory waffles.

Creme Brulee

Menu Description:
Seasonal Créme Brulée 6.50
Classic Vanilla Créme with Burnt Raw Sugar & Seasonal Fresh Fruit

I like the creme brulee dessert best. The chocolate-filled liege came in second. And I like the s'more waffle the least. It might have been too chocolaty. They all seem to have little sugar crystals, but I taste it most in the creme brulee waffle. I really like the creme brulee one.

S'Mores

Menu Description:
S’Mores 5.95
Belgian Chocolate, Graham Cracker & Toasted Marshmallow

Maybe I wasn't paying attention, but apparently the creme brulee waffle was the only one to have burnt raw sugar while the liege had pearl sugar.

Chocolate-Filled Liege

Menu Description:
Chocolate Filled Liege With Dark Belgian Chocolate 4.95
Add Nutella or Belgian Chocolate Sauce .75
